Workshops and symposia will be sessions focusing on the practical aspects and application of the main congress theme, Facilitating Mental Health, Primary Care & Public Health Integration for Southeast Europe and Eurasia.
Workshops/symposia are a 90 minute format, 4 speakers maximum (excluding the chairmen).
Logistics such as room allocation and audiovisual arrangements (for PowerPoint presentation) will be handled by the congress organisers.

• Workshops and symposia proposal may only be submitted exclusively online via the congress website.
• Proposals must be submitted on or before the closing date, 10 September 2012. The organizers reserve the right to reject any proposal for failure to comply with submission instructions mentioned on the congress website. Please note that late submissions will not be considered.
• It is possible to submit more than one proposal. However, speakers included in more than one proposal will be allowed to speak in one accepted workshop/symposium only.
• Please ensure that your session abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done.
• The submitter and all presenters must accept full responsibility for the content, submission and presentation of their abstract, and retain full copyright of their abstract and presentation. By submitting a workshop/symposium proposal, authors give consent and authorise the organisers to publish or submit for publication their abstract, presentation, picture and biography, and to include them in any congress publications.
• Please note that submitters can go back and make changes to a submitted session proposal at any time up to the deadline. To edit a submitted proposal please use the personalized link received in the submission confirmation e-mail.

• All accepted abstracts will be included in the congress programme booklet and monograph of abstracts.
Proposals to organise a workshop or a symposium should include the following information:
• Workshop/symposium title. The title should be brief (100 characters maximum) and objectively describe the session.
• Brief description of the session and the topics to be addressed by the speakers; outline why the proposed workshop / symposium is important and will contribute to the meeting. The session abstract should be no more than 400 words in length.
• List of educational objectives of the session (maximum 250 words).
• Full contact details of the submitter and the proposed speakers and chairmen.
• Session abstracts should be written in English.
• Abbreviations should be defined. References or bibliography should not be included in the session abstract.
• Submissions must be made in plain text format (no tables, graphs, charts or images are permitted).
• The correct topic must be selected to ensure correct scoring. The content of the abstract must be topic related. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure that abstracts are submitted under the correct topic.
• Submitters are requested to indicate their preference for workshop or symposium format on the abstract submission form. The decisions of the Scientific Programme Committee are final.
Abbreviations should be defined. At least two bibliographical references should be included in the abstract.
Proposing speakers & chairmen
• There should be maximum 4 speakers and 2 co-chairmen proposed in each workshop or symposium. The decisions of the Scientific Programme Committee are final.
• There should preferably not be more than one speaker/chairman per country, and in any case, not more than one speaker per institute.
• The proposed speakers and chairmen should have been formally approached by the submitter and have committed to attend and present at the congress should the workshop or symposium be selected in the programme.
• Please note all speakers and chairmen accepted for workshop & symposium presentation must register for the congress and pay the registration fee before end November 2012 in order to confirm their presentation. Failure to do this could result in losing your presentation slot.
Disclosures
In the case of a conflict of interest, a workshop or symposium proposal cannot be accepted if the conflict of interest disclosure has not been ticked on the submission form. If the research or one of the speakers or chairmen has a conflict of interest, this must be clearly stated.
All accepted presenters will be required to fill in a full disclosure of financial interests and other affiliations once their presentation has been accepted in the programme.
